Diets
Simply put: 'diet' means deprivation. You deprive your body of essential nutrients that it needs to function at its normal capacity. You rob yourself of proper nutrition, thereby weakening the immune system and causing a negative impact on metabolism.
Dieting forces your body into starvation mode. It responds by slowing down many of its normal functions to conserve energy. This means your natural metabolism actually slows down.
Dieting is dangerous to health and has consequences:
- loss of muscular strength and endurance
- decreased osygen utilization
- thinning hair
- loss of coordination dehydration and electrolyte imbalances
- fainting, weakness, and slowed heart rates
